We are having a blast exploring New Mexico, we are now on the New Mexico/Colorado border in Chama, NM. There is lots of fishing going on! We spent the fourt of July in Arryo Seco, a little town right outside of Taos. They had a interesting parade through town we then went to Taos Ski Valley to the Bavarian. It was an ideal 4th! Tomorrow we head towards Durango where we will go to the Cave Dwellings. Stay tuned!
Taos Fly Shop was great in helping the guys pick the right flies for the river in Sipapu. Next time we are in the Sipapu area we will camp in the Carson National Forest, there are several great option right along the river for $11-$14 a night.
When we are back in December we are going to have dinner at The Bavarian. I have been in the past and can’t wait to enjoy a nice a cozy meal in the mountain top restaurant in Taos Ski Valley with my family and friends. Apres Ski!
